I won’t grow up!

Remember that song from Peter Pan? If not I’ll have it embedded at the bottom of the post. Sad news from Chimp today. Sadly this year I’ll be missing out on Blizzcon. After having a talk with the wife we decided it was in our best interest to skip this year. You see we’re in the market to get out of the ghetto fabulous apartments we’re in and into a new house. I always hated renting, it’s like throwing money into the air and it never coming back down. This wasn’t an issue until we found out that after October 1st in Texas it will be illegal to receive loan incentives and grants. With Fort Bliss expanding seventeen thousand troops, and Texas Tech coming into town I need to buy a house as of yesterday before I miss the boat. So I’m doing the grown up responsible thing. Which is really sad cause I wanted to at least try and meet some guildies, Barry Smith, and annoy DEV’s with why Omen of Clarity, an obvious spell caster tool only works on melee hit, isn’t worked for spellhit as well. Again. Oh well there’s always next year. Maybe I can talk Jess into super nerding out and going to Comicon ^^!

I’m such a sucker

For games that let me level/acquire gear/fight other dudes. Recently after visiting the Inktankforums.com I noticed they played a browser based game. Star Pirates. Now it’s not a ground breaking game. They’re not really doing anything super special. But I get to level up, obtain gear, and fight dudes so ofcourse I’ve done nothing over the past 2 weeks. But level, obtain gear, and fight dudes. Hell I’ll hit the site between arenas and BG’s. That’s how addictive of a personality I have. AAAND aparently after talking to some dudes, i’m leveling too fast and not research enough ><. Looks like I have to calm down on attacking dudes.

“Oops an Error has occured”

I was trying to save this update until after I had obtained, but it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen in the next hour.  Last year took Jessica a full day to refresh the Blizzard server to obtain us 2 tickets.  This year with the addition of the BLizzard Store into the mix has made it doubley hard.  I can’t count how many times I’ve been at the Credit Card verification screen only to be tossed out of my browser completely and back to square one.  I’ll keep going throughout the evening as I loved going last year, and this year proves to be just as much on the horizon.

Dr. Horrible DvD Contest Part II

You give the people what they want, I suppose. Most the traffic that’s been coming through the site lately has been through the post about the Dr.Horrible DvD contest. There’s still no word about when it will officially begin, but I would start filming and editing for when The Evil League of Evil goes live. If that’s not enough to wet your whistle. Then here take this. Capitan Hammer “Be Like Me”. This was written by Zack Whedon. They plan on making several more of these even one about Moist.

“We also want to do a Fake Thomas Jefferson comic,” Whedon added. “No one who is in the Evil League of Evil shouldn’t be in there, except Fake Thomas Jefferson, who’s pointless.”
